Passionate people’s person Alan du Plessis died in June 1996, aged 23, in a motor vehicle accident leaving behind his parents and sister.
Born in Springs in 1973, Alan and Charity Define Director Franscois Steenkamp became friends at a very early age sharing the same interests whilst attending Laerskool Selection Park in Springs later finishing high school together. As lifelong friends Alan and Franscois not only attended school together but became work colleagues as well as gym training partners until Alan’s passing.
Alan had great compassion for people showing tremendous empathy towards those less fortunate than him. His ability to accept people for who they are and showing genuine interest in their lives made him loved by all. Taken away too early, Alan’s legacy as a gregarious peoples person will live on forever in the projects undertaken by Charity Define.
